This year marks the 72nd anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

USS Arizona Memorial is not a tourist attraction but a memorial and grave that deserves to be treated with respect and reverence. The USS Arizona was one of the many ships that was destroyed during the attack. The explosion and fire killed 1,102 of the 1,177 sailors on board. (www.wikipedia.com).

This marble wall (above picture) bears the names of all those killed on the Arizona.

Before taking a Navy-operated shuttle boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, there’s this 23-minute documentary film about Pearl Harbor attack that visitors get to watch.  I remember watching this documentary in great sadness…One of the many places which I would like to revisit with my family.

Happy Belated July 4th!
